At Michigan Eye Consultants, we bill medical insurance when appropriate based on your symptoms, medical history, and the services performed.
Even if you’re coming in for a routine exam, we evaluate overall eye health and vision—and treat common concerns like dry eye, allergies, infections, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes-related eye care, and other everyday eye issues.
We are not in-network with vision plans.
That said, many vision plans include out-of-network benefits.
If your plan offers out-of-network coverage, we work with Anagram to help make reimbursement as smooth as possible.
What you can expect:
We’ll provide the documentation your plan typically needs
We can guide you on how reimbursement works (when available)
Your plan—not our office—determines out-of-network eligibility and payment amounts
No problem. Patients are welcome to self-pay if they’re not using insurance (or if they prefer not to).
We’ll review your options and help you understand expected costs before your visit whenever possible.
We accept the following medical insurance plans:
Aetna Medicare PPO
BCBS
BCN
BCBS Medicare Advantage
BCN Medicare Advantage
ChampVA
Cigna
Humana PPO
McLaren
Medicare
Priority PPO
Priority Medicare Advantage
Tricare
United HealthCare
United HealthCare Medicare Advantage
Insurance can be confusing—especially when medical and vision benefits overlap.
